Save LAN resolved a malware situation experienced by BF-Lento

Challenges and objectives
The problematic situation started out with isolated incidents: workstations slowed down, systems behaved erratically and error notifications popped up randomly. It, however, quickly became clear that this was not the result of any normal technical problem.
BF-Lento was not a previous customer of Save LAN, but the company found Save LAN by Googling when they decided that there was a clear need for the services of an external expert. The objective was to identify the extent of the problem, prevent its spread, and restore the environment safely back into use.
Save LAN solution
Save LAN responded quickly to the situation and provided clear instructions in order to delimit the situation.Workstations that were suspected of having problems were immediately disconnected from the BF-Lento network and submitted for analysis in an isolated environment.
The analysis found that there was a widespread malware infection present. To resolve the situation, Save LAN recommended a complete reinstallation of the workstations in order to reliably ensure the security of the environment.
Project implementation
Before the reinstallation, all of the data was carefully reviewed. Only clean and safe data was transferred to prevent the malware from spreading once again.
The workstations were then rebuilt from scratch. At the same time, the environment was developed to better meet current data security requirements. Operating systems and software were updated, information security settings were strengthened, and user rights were clarified.
During the project, the customer was kept informed of the progress, which provided assurance in the situation and allowed the entire project to be kept under control.

Project results
After the project, BF-Lento gained access to a reliable and secure IT environment.The systems operated faster and were more stable than before, and the level of information security improved significantly. At the same time, the environment was built on a more sustainable foundation, which improves the readiness to face similar situations in the future.
